An Organized Bathroom — Part 2

01.07.15

I’m sure for many of you who worked on your goals/resolutions for the New Year put something about being a bit more organized this year. As I shared in Part 1 of my Organized Bathroom series, it’s all about creating efficient, functional spaces throughout the areas in your home that you use most. Since we’re not done with the bathroom quite yet, I wanted to share with you how I keep my hair accessories organized. As someone who has long hair and is constantly putting it into a top-knot, half up or simply a ponytail, there just seems to be an endless amount of elastic bands, clips, bobby pins and headbands!

Here’s a glimpse inside my “hair drawer.” I’m able to corral all the items into some sort of tray that helps keep things organized and in their place. Since I have quite a selection of headbands, only my decorative ones made it into this drawer and laid out so nicely so they don’t tangle. My sport headbands are in another drawer.

As you can see in the picture above and below, I have a tic-tac holder in my cabinet. This is the perfect container to store your bobby-pins! I’ve been meaning to make it look a bit more decorative, but for the time being it serves its purpose.

My eyelash extensions made it into the drawer as well apparently!

Raise your hand if you have a drawer in your bathroom that contains loose elastic hair bands! I’m willing to bet quite a lot of you as I used to be in that category as well. As I’ve mentioned before, I can’t stand a mess and can’t stand random objects loose in drawers. I’ve been known to completely reorganize my bathroom just because one simple object was out of place and driving my bonkers.

Since I’m only ever using 1-2 hair bands at any given time, I thought why not keep all the other ones together in a neat & tidy way? I had these colorful ring binders in my office supplies and simply grabbed a few and set to organizing all my different hair ties. It’s as simple as placing them on the ring and closing it. Can’t get any easier than that.

I have one for my brown elastic hair ties, fabric hair ties and my very small, clear hair ties. It works for any of them!

These are rather simple tips, but doing these little steps makes a huge difference towards having a more organized bathroom space.
