The artisanal, handcrafted elements that I love to incorporate throughout my home extend to my personal style as well. The artful touch of a handmade piece of jewelry tells a story that gives it more meaning into the moments while wearing it.
I have always had an appreciation for utilizing accessories as an extension of my personality. There is literally an entire wall in my master bath dedicated to my love of jewelry. There is something to be said though for the pieces in your collection that have that artisanal appeal. This is why I love browsing all the jewelry selections from Uncommon Goods. They believe whole-heartedly in providing a platform for artists and designers to showcase their creative talents in a sustainable method that impacts the planet in a positive way. That’s a mission I can certainly stand behind!
Here are some of my favorite items currently available —
There are plenty of pieces that play towards my bohemian vibe! I particularly fell in love with numerous items that portrayed a natural element by using organic gemstones or sea glass. I am beyond in love with the entire “Waterfall” collection handmade by Emilie Shapiro in Brooklyn, NY. The blue kyanite stones are unbelievably beautiful and I love that she used recycled materials to make these pieces have that true organic feel.
I’m also really into the personalized pieces of jewelry that can tell a story on all its own. From the handwritten necklace or wearing your hometown state around your neck, they mean something incredibly important to you and I think that’s unique when it comes to picking out pieces of jewelry that have real value.
There are so many options that would make for the perfect gift as well. Click here if you need some ideas for Mother’s Day and don’t forget all those graduations happening in a few months as well. Those going off to college might really be touched by one of the personalized jewelry gifts!
I’d love to hear from you on which piece is your favorite! Share with me in the comments below.
