One week completed for my March Healthy Living Challenge & I’ve been committed to staying active a minimum of 30 minutes a day. In order to make that possible, because I hate going to the gym, is by creating an organized area for my workout gear right in my own living room. Sure I wish I had an extra room, basement or garage space to designate for a workout room, but I don’t. Therefore my workouts take place in the main room of our home and I didn’t want to pull out my workout gear each and every time from some magical hiding place.
In a future post I’ll round up some of my favorite online workout videos you can access right from your smart TV or phone, but each morning I typically just roll out my mat, grab my dumbbells and get to sweating. I found this seagrass basket at Target that matched my home aesthetics to organize all my workout gear when not in use. The key is to find pretty yet functional.
This is a really sturdy basket that can withstand the weight of dumbbells and I have it set on the side of our media console. If there is one thing it’s definitely good for is that it’s a constant reminder to get my booty off the couch and on the mat!
This post is designed to show you that it doesn’t require a fancy setup to organize your workout gear. Inside my basket I store —
° 3 lb dumbbells
° 5 lb dumbbells
° 10lb kettlebell (not pictured)
° Pair of workout shoes (that never get worn outside!)
° A set of 3 resistance bands (similar here)
° Tone It Up Booty Bands
° Tone It Up jump rope
° Tone It Up Slide N Sculpt discs
° 1-2 yoga mats (thick and thin)
° Exercise ball (not pictured)
So you’ve probably noticed that quite a few of the items are from Tone It Up. I’ve used their workout program for over 4 years now and absolutely love these girls and this whole community. While I don’t stick to just their workouts, I do love and own quite a few of their workout products. The best part, they just picked up a deal with Target and now all their stuff is available at our favorite store!
I’m on Day 8 of my Healthy Living Challenge and have been hitting my workout goals and overall healthier living decisions. I love a good HIIT workout first thing in the morning followed by a protein smoothie or green juice with organic nutrients from Touchstone Essentials. Be sure to follow along on Instagram / Instagram Stories as I’ve been trying to share some of my favorite recipes and healthy living inspiration!
How have all of you been doing on your healthy living challenge as I know quite a few of you have messaged me that you were hopping board with me. I’m even going to be joining one of my friends to try out a boxing workout soon!
Keep Living a Stylized (and active) Life.
