DIY Wood Cheese Tray

I love a DIY project that is easy to create, fun to make and leaves you with lots of versatility in terms of what to do with it when your finished. That’s how I feel about this DIY wood cheese tray I made. It’s every bit rustic with a touch of industrialism due to the forged iron handles and makes for an incredibly useful tray when serving food and wine to your friends.

  1. Hi …I just love this idea — it’s a great size for entertaining! I just have a quick question —- Is chalkboard paint food safe?

    1. Great question Cathy! To be on the safe side, use a nontoxic food-safe clear coat (available at craft stores) on top of chalkboard painted projects, especially when placing anything acidic on it.
