I love a DIY project that is easy to create, fun to make and leaves you with lots of versatility in terms of what to do with it when your finished. That’s how I feel about this DIY wood cheese tray I made. It’s every bit rustic with a touch of industrialism due to the forged iron handles and makes for an incredibly useful tray when serving food and wine to your friends.
I’m sharing the step-by-step details on how to make this DIY wood cheese tray over on Cambria Wines blog. While you’re over there, check out some of my other DIY projects that’ll be fun to create this fall —
Chalkboard Wine Glasses
Wine Cork Garden Markers
Wine Bottle Homemade Candles
Cork Coasters
Wine Storage Crate
Hope I’ve inspired you to get creative after you’ve finished your favorite bottle of wine!
Hi …I just love this idea — it’s a great size for entertaining! I just have a quick question —- Is chalkboard paint food safe?
Great question Cathy! To be on the safe side, use a nontoxic food-safe clear coat (available at craft stores) on top of chalkboard painted projects, especially when placing anything acidic on it.
thanks much! i’m definately trying this! love your blog! your house is adorable.
Awwww thanks for making my day Cathy!! You’re so sweet.
