The calendar tells us it’s September and fall weather should be approaching, but the weather has other ideas. While it’s still scorching hot outside, it’s beginning to look a bit more like fall inside. Take a peek at the little touches I did to incorporate fall decor into our home.
With the addition of only purchasing this $3 pumpkin from Target’s “dollar section”, the rest of the items I shopped from within my own home. Now I plan to add a bit more as fall gets underway, but I wanted to show you super easy, inexpensive ways to start making your home look like it’s ready for the fall weather.
Let’s start with the dining table. The rustic wood tray may look a bit familiar from the post I shared on creating a DIY cheese tray. I told you the piece was versatile and when it’s not serving a delicious array of food, it works as the perfect centerpiece! I placed a galvanized bottle holder fit with leaves and decorative fall objects to complete the look. I love the little apple box I scored at TJ Maxx last fall.
The top of the bar cart also got an update with simple fall vignette. I had gotten this galvanized tray from Decor Steals (comes in a set of 2) so I went ahead and started adding a few easy touches to it with an already existing faux vase and stems, fall scented candle and some vintage books. I then got the idea from my dear friend, Alma, to simply grab a clipboard (which I already had) and clip on a leaf from a tree right outside your door! How easy is that?? I used a piece of kraft paper and made a little fall design and slipped that underneath the leaf. Cute and simple. Throw in that $3 pumpkin I scored at Target and the vignette was complete.
I’m planning on heading to the pumpkin patch in the coming weeks so I’ll be sure to share and update on the rest of my fall decor!
