Give those you love a simple, handmade Valentine’s Day “Love the Wine Your With” wine bag this February 14th!
Anytime I can combine my love for wine with a simple arts & crafts project, I’m all in! Inspired by the “Happy Hallowine” wine bag I created for Halloween, I wanted to design something that would make for a cute, inexpensive gift for your girlfriends, loved one or even a friendly neighbor. Just simply add your favorite bottle of wine, maybe a chocolate bar (or two) and you’ve said all there is to say…
You don’t need much for this wine bag project, just a few essentials and 15 minutes of your time.
*DISCLAIMER — I am aware that I was apparently too excited to drink the wine that I inadvertently made a grammatical error by using “your” instead of “you’re.” Give it a little chuckle & be rest assured that the free printable is using the correct verbiage as seen above!
Print out the “Love the Wine You’re With” image onto the transfer paper following the instructions provided with the pack of paper.
Cut out the image leaving as little white space as possible.
Plug in the iron and set to high, dry heat (no steam).
While the iron is heating up, lay down a few dish towels to protect the countertop.
Place jute wine bag on the towels and lay the transferable image facing down.
Apply constant pressure while carefully ironing over the image. Since this is a small image, it will only take 20-40 seconds to complete. If you press for too long, you will burn the image and the bag!
Let cool completely, 1-2 minutes, then carefully remove the transfer paper backing.
I’ve actually started keeping extra stock of these wine bags on hand for an impromptu birthday or holiday gift. Once you have the design, it’s a breeze to quickly make a custom wine bag that’ll really impress your friends and family! I already have some ideas brewing for a few more cute wine bags or even a design on a tote bag. Stay tuned!
