Dedicating a cabinet in your kitchen for all your healthy baking essentials (yes, they can be healthy) not only is convenient, adds tons of functionality but it helps keep you organized as well.
I have always had a love for baking and only just recently am starting to appreciate the art of cooking. Once I switched over to a gluten free, dairy free lifestyle I had to start incorporating some new healthy baking essentials into my pantry. Like anything else in my house, this naturally turned into creating a fresh, organized system for all my new goodies.
A side note — as I was working on taking the pictures for this post, I was happy with how organized my baking essentials pantry was until I got another fresh idea to change it up just a tad. I’ll show you how I originally had it for months which also included the top shelf containing my Crystal Light & tea packets. On a whim, I switched up a few items so it really was an all-inclusive baking pantry!
Originally, every single item in this cabinet was located in our large pantry roll-out drawers. They were still organized within their bins but placed on different levels. This current cabinet was used for all of Sean’s hot sauces, special seasonings, BBQ sauces, etc. What spurred the big reorganization months ago was the chaotic mess with all his stuff. I made a switcharoo and ended up satisfying both of our needs.
Now we are left with a clean, streamlined pantry organization system that let’s you see your stock of baking essentials at-a-glance.
The healthy baking items you see pictured are as follows (from bottom shelf up) —
Raw Cacao Powder | Chia Seeds | Cacao Nibs | Maca Powder | Hemp Hearts | Golden Raisins | Ground Flaxseed | Organic Amber Honey | Pure Vanilla Extract | Aluminum Free Baking Powder | Dark Chocolate 70% Cacao Baking Bar | Iodized Salt | Baking Soda | Red Palm Shortening | Splenda | Raw Honey | Arrowroot Powder | Quinoa Crisps | Coconut Sugar | Coconut Flour | Gluten Free All-Purpose Baking Flour
The stackable containers and large flour containers are life changing and super friendly on your pocketbook. I grabbed them from The Container Store where they start at $3.99 a container and come with a lid that provides a suction cup like feature to keep your product fresh. I utilized these removable labels to make everything super organized, plus they come in a set with multiple sizes.
P.S. Don’t forget the adorable tiny plastic scoops!
The large, clear pantry bin on the second shelf are used throughout my kitchen to organizpractically everything else. These are great to corral all the small things, plus it makes it a breeze to just grab the entire bin and have everything you need in one swoop.
Every since I reorganized this section of the kitchen, it’s made my life so much easier. Now when I’m ready to bake my almond meal cookies or make a fresh açai bowl, I just go to this one cabinet for all my baking essential needs.
