Apple season is upon us and it gives us the perfect reason to whip up a batch of homemade cinnamon applesauce right in your own kitchen.
Although I’m still on the hunt for a nearby apple orchard to spend a morning picking fresh apples, I do love buying them in bulk from Costco so I can whip up a batch of homemade applesauce. The best part about this incredibly easy recipe is that it only involves 2 ingredients and is a really delicious, healthy snack morning, noon or night.
I often find when browsing the grocery store for applesauce that upon looking at the label, they’ve usually got some additive to either (a) sweeten the recipe or (b) give it a longer shelf life. There truly is nothing tastier than a fresh batch of applesauce made right in your own kitchen. With just a dash or two of cinnamon, I promise you won’t be going back to store-bought versions any time soon.
Love all things apple? Then you must try this Apple Crisp recipe I created for Cambria Wines. It is simply heaven in a dish!
