We all love to capture memories from our smartphones and cameras and most of us are stuck with these fabulous images on devices or via the computer where no one gets to relish how fun, romantic or adventurous they were. As someone who has really taken to photography and shoots hundreds of photos weekly, I definitely fell into a rut of how to display them. When I come back from a vacation, I love to use Artifact Uprising and create look books for the coffee table.
As for all the fun images I take on Instagram, I found a great way to print them out using Social Print Studio (i.e. Printstagram). I’ve seen some people display them in a decorative bowl on a coffee table, on a wooden display stand, but I chose to hang them on these chicken coop frames I found at the Rose Bowl flea market a few months back.
Since I’m all about the look of raw wood, I didn’t do anything to the frames and just hung them up as they came. To me, the look is perfect for my office and I love being able to look over at the photos and smile at the memories. The best part, I can simply do a reorder a few months down the road and freshen up the photos as I see fit.
At the very bottom of each of the frames, I hot-glued a decorative paperclip so that I could share a few more pictures that are my current favorites.
This entire project cost me $20-$30 and 10 minutes of my time. The result is priceless in my opinion.
How do you like to display your favorite photos? Do you create phonebooks, scrapbook or even just rely on sharing them via social media so you’ll always be able to look back?
