This past weekend while attending the Social Studio Workshop in San Diego I had the opportunity to get my hands on a few glasses of cold pressed, organic, raw OH! Juice. I’m a big fan of the health benefits of consuming fresh juice & was so excited that their tasting room was right next door to the workshop so I could sip on their creations all day long.
OH! Juice provides a large, seasonal juice menu with creations like Karma Latte, Cookies N Protein, Pomes Up, Autumn Sun and my personal favorite, Fall Cider. It was the first one I tasted and I didn’t need to taste anymore. I honestly said out loud, “that is probably the best tasting cold-pressed juice I’ve ever had.” It’s made with pomegranates, apples, carrots, maca root and ceylon cinnamon. It’s quite literally a cold version of cider but without all the excess sugar and is actually really good for you.
On our way out the door after our workshop had ended, I knocked on their tasting room door to see if there was any way I could get my hands on a few more glasses that I could take home with me. We lucked out and the owner, Hanna, was there and welcomed us in! You guys… she’s total rockstar. She developed the concept for OH! Juice as a nutritionist and wanting to provide her clients with a line of juice cleanses that are not based on sugary fruits, but rather strong alkalizing veggies, exotic spices and rare superfoods. She believes full-heartedly in 100% organic, locally sourced produce that is HPP free, sustainable and is always cold-pressed to give us the highest quality possible.
I’m not joking when I say, you can taste the difference in her juices.
A few of the other flavors I took home with me were Berry Exotic and Chia Tea. The Berry Exotic is made up of orange, gogi, acai, wild camu camu, lemon, beet, romaine lettuce, cucumber and pineapple. Thus it contains a huge amount of essential vitamins, antibacterial & antiviral properties, along with detox support from the beet. Tastes good & is crazy good for you!
The Chia Tea is made up of hibiscus, ginger, lime, chia seeds, stevia and Carlsbad water. I enjoyed a couple of these during the week and loved how I felt throughout the morning. What’s great about visiting her menu online, you can click on any of the juices and read about the health benefits of each of the ingredients. The more we educate ourselves the better consumers we’ll be.
Hanna was also gracious enough to send me home with a trio of her Superfood Shots. These little babies pack a TON of punch and they may not taste the greatest, but it’s only a quick shot & you get to reap the benefits all day long.
I particularly love the Energize Me (the yellow shot) because it contains turmeric and bee pollen which is really really good for reducing the inflammation in my body. The other shots are Detox Me (green) and Support Me (purple).
I’m not going to lie, I really really wish I lived closer to San Diego simply so I could get my hands on OH! Juice on the daily. I’m so impressed with their concept and the juice itself is superior to others on the market. Plus…. I love that they serve it in glass bottles to reduce waste + you get $1.00 off when you bring the bottle back to be recycled.
If you live in the SD area, drink a juice for me!
