Kristin’s February Picks

We’re creeping up on the middle of February already and here in SoCal we’re definitely ready to bare our feet and spend a bit more time outdoors. (It’s 84 degrees here today!) I know the rest of the country, for the most part, wants to give me a swift kick under the desk for saying that last sentence, but I guess this is why we pay a higher price of living… the cost of the sun.

I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite finds via the web this month. Quite a few of these items I already own as of this month and the others I’m coveting.

Kristin's February Picks | Modish and Main

1. Aveda Tea Tree Oil | 2. Mineral & Matter Wood Crystal Ring Tray | 3. Madewell Corin Buckle Sandal | 4. MICHAEL Michael Kors ‘Medium Colette’ Zip Satchel | 5. Target 18″ Outdoor Decorative Pillows | 6. Kovey ‘Adventura Mimosa Petals’ Bikini Top & Bottom | 7. bareMinerals Complexion Rescue | 8. Aveda Pure Abundance Hair Potion

As someone who struggles daily with oily, breakout prone skin…I’ve never stopped searching for the product(s) that’ll help make me feel like I’m 30 and not a 15 year old. I had read someone recently that people were having luck with using essential oils on their skin and I thought I would give it a try. Since I have an Aveda salon just down the road, I grabbed their tea tree oil and have been applying it to my skin morning and night religiously for one week now and I’m SO HAPPY with the results thus far. My cystic acne has disappeared and my scarring has greatly diminished! Fingers crossed that this could be my solution.

Speaking of Aveda, I also pop into their salon for a blowout every few weeks and each time they’ve been using their Hair Potion on my roots and then throughout the body of the hair to give it body and a bit of messy texture (which I love!). I finally bought a bottle for myself and this stuff is a game-changer for those of you with fine, limp hair! It’s a lightweight powder that contains natural bulking agents like kaolin clay and acacia gum.

As for the rest of the picks, it’s no surprise I fell in love with this wood ring tray from Mineral & Matter. It’s rustic vibe is perfect for my home! As for wanting to add some new pieces to my accessories wardrobe, you can’t go wrong with anything in a buttery cognac color like these Madewell buckle sandals or this highly desirable MK satchel (this may just have to get ordered ASAP). I’ve also been working on updating my outdoor patio and nabbed these super cute outdoor pillows from Target. There are a ton of pattern options online to fit any and every color palette. Beach weather is quick upon us and although I’m not quite bikini ready, I do love this option from Lanikai Bikini shop. The top is perfect since I can’t stand those that tie behind my neck. As for the bottoms, let’s just say I need to amp up my squat & lunge routine!! Lastly, the latest beauty product to hit the shelves from my favorite bareMinerals shop is their Complexion Rescue. A gazillion bloggers have written about it this past week and it sounds like the perfect blend of a BB/CC cream + tinted moisturizer + foundation in one. Just enough coverage for everyday wear & that might just be what gets me to purchase a bottle!

Hope you enjoyed my picks & have a great weekend!

Keep Living a Stylized Life.
