We are finally getting the warm, sunny days and my go-to outfit is wearing an off the shoulder summer style that’s effortless and comfortable to wear all day long.
Last fall it was like I had an epiphany when it comes to off the shoulder garments. I thought for sure this style would only look good on women that were in shape and had nothing to hide. Boy was I wrong. Since this girl has a bit of a tummy to hide (I blame the wine), I’m actually feel the most comfortable when I’m wearing an off the shoulder top or dress. Maybe it’s because the eyes are drawn up to the shoulders, but generally I find that the tops or dresses are looser fitting and aren’t clinging to your mid section which is 100% why they are quickly filling up my closet.
The effortless style of an off the shoulder dress allows me to throw on my new favorite fedora, grab a jean jacket for the chilly breeze and head out the door with my basic necessities of a handsfree crossbody bag and my stylish tech watch.
Guys, this tech watch from Fossil is so cool. I’ve had countless Fossil watches and have been obsessed with them since my early college years. I remember Sean gave me a tortoise shell version for a birthday present years back and when I was in my coral phase my Mom found one on Fossil and gave it to me. I still have them and treasure them, but I haven’t been wearing them as often because I’m kind of obsessed with tracking my steps and staying updated with a smart watch. Fossil figured out a way to combine both the tech aspect and style into one really nice looking watch. The first day I wore it out I got 3-4 comments on it!
It not only has a built in fitness tracker, but it also can provide notifications for social media, text, email and calendar as well as take a picture, control your music and track your sleep. Yeah …. from the looks of it, you didn’t think this watch could do all that!
Guys, can we talk about how well my brother, Ryan, did at taking these photos for me? I think I need him to come visit me in California more often. On one of his final few days in town, we headed to downtown Ventura and kind of bar hopped our way to some of my favorite places. The sun was shining and it was the perfect opportunity to wear my off the shoulder dress I got from Revolve and relax on patios all over town.
We started at Topa Topa Brewery, walked over fresh cocktails on the deck at The Tavern, met up with some friends to have dinner at Rumfish y Vino and ended the night listening to live music at Grapes & Hops.
When I head out to “play” for the day, I don’t want to bring a bulky, cumbersome handbag with me that I’ll instantly regret bringing 30 minutes into the afternoon. When Fossil sent me this striped crossbody bag it instantly went on the hook to be used. I recently got this small G5X camera to bring along when I head out to lunch or meet up with friends for drinks so I could still capture high quality lifestyle shots, but wasn’t having to lug around my big Canon 5D Mark III. I may have squealed with excitement when I was able to slip it inside this bag.
