I think most women secretly wish for their own “Pretty Woman shopping on Rodeo Drive” moment. Wouldn’t it be great to walk into Versace, Chanel & Tiffany’s and get whatever you want ?!?! Well… I went shopping on Rodeo Drive yesterday, but unfortunately went home empty handed.
The real reason my boss and I went to Rodeo Drive was to do comparison shopping for our new fall/winter jewelry collection. I never turn down an opportunity to try on high-end jewelry!
I love to get crafty when it comes time to give gifts, plan events, etc. Being crafty often means having lots of little products and materials that can quickly turn from pretty to a chaotic mess. Generally, when you have to dig for your items you tend to be less inspired to get creative.
I’ve always been complimented on my handwriting and often use markers and pens to personalize a gift, create art and even when organizing throughout the house. As you may know, not all markers are created equal and there are an abundance of colors to choose from. Therefore, I have quite a selection of Sharpie markers in varying sizes and I needed to find a way to keep them organized, but have them pretty accessible as well. READ MORE
There is truly nothing I enjoy more than relaxing on the patio or beach chair and reading a great book. I’ve always loved to read & had a pretty extensive collection of books until the Kindle came around. When I’m really invested into a great book, it’s like the world around me moves in slow motion and the storyline of the book takes the stage front & center.
I’ve always attributed a great read to being as entertaining (if not more) as a movie. A book is often filled with an enormous amount of descriptive language that allows you create your own images & let your imagination run wild. It’s truly one of my favorite things to do. READ MORE
Although I was in Indianapolis for work this past week (while others were there for their own personal businesses), I couldn’t help but take away messages that inspired and empowered me to do great things!
Thus, today’s Monday Momentum is about getting out of your own way and overcoming your own self-doubt. If you want something bad enough … believe in it & set out today to make it happen!
Whew, what a whirlwind past few weeks it has been!
Now that we are “almost” unpacked, I had to take off on a business trip to Indianapolis for 5 days. Needless to say, I am WAY behind catching up on blog post reads. I think my Bloglovin’ feed count is at 392 unread posts. Yikes!
Now that I blog, I could never just select all as “unread.” I know how much work goes into these posts and I really do try and read many of them.
Thus, on the flight today and as I sit in my hotel room adjusting to the Eastern Time Zone, I’ve been “liking” some of my favorite posts lately & thought it was time to spread to the love! READ MORE
There are many things I love about living in Southern California …. from the amazing scenery, vineyards galore, endless things to do, but most of all, I love the abundance of sunshine. Growing up in the midwest, we often dealt with unfavorably long winters that left you craving your next adventure to someplace warm!
Over 300+ days of sunshine, I rely on a multitude of cool sunglasses to get me by. I have shades & styles from various designers, but since I like to have them planted everywhere to ensure I’m never without, spending a fortune on them isn’t an option.
I came across Warby Parker not too long ago and was completely impressed with not only their styles of sunglasses (and eyeglasses!), but the PRICE! A quality pair of sunglasses with the option to add prescription lenses & here’s the best part …. when we buy a pair, they give a pair to someone in need. Stylish shades for all! I love that!
