With my birthday coming up this Saturday and I haven’t been shy about celebrating for the entire week … it’s clear that I’m a Leo! I would have to say that my personality closely resembles those of a typical “Leo” being that I’m (a) ambitious, (b) confident and (c) loyal. With that also comes a few not so great characteristics such as (a) stubborn, (b) stubborn and (c) stubborn. Ok! So I’m stubborn!
Not just because I’m a Leo, but that I’m an animal lover in general … I adore lions. They are such a beautiful, majestic creature that lives by its own rules in such an exotic, extraordinary land. One day, I guarantee that I will be venturing to these lands to see it, and hopefully them, with my own eyes! READ MORE
Earlier I showed you how I display my delicate necklaces using 3M Command Clear Mini Hooks on the back wall of my closet. Now for Part 2, I’m going to show you how I display the rest of my jewelry collection.
As I mentioned before, jewelry that is hidden stays hidden. I simply cannot remember to wear something if it’s put away in a jewelry box. I am much more inspired to wear a piece or see what my options are if they are displayed in an organized, yet fun way that compliments my home office.
I use both my home office closet space and my credenza tabletop to display all of it. Here’s a glimpse at my collection, hope you enjoy! READ MORE
Raise both hands if you have an abundance of jewelry.
Ok, well both hands and feet are raised as I have to admit I definitely have quite a collection of jewelry. I will be honest though, I do work in the jewelry industry so I’m chalking this up to all being a part of the job.
As I have come to find, if I can’t see my jewelry, I simply won’t wear it. Since I’ve been on a streak of moving every 15-18 months, I’ve come up with some pretty creative ideas of how to display my jewelry. I haven’t however, been able to come up a simple & effective way to display all those delicate necklaces that love to get tangled together until now! READ MORE
This weekend I gave a sneak peek on Instagram of where I go to relax almost every night … usually with a glass of wine and a magazine. Our front porch in the new town-home is very colorful and comfortable. We’ve received numerous compliments on how inviting it looks!
Our patio rug was used in our last house under the dining room table, but when everything was starting to come together outside it quickly found a new home. We simply folded it in half (provides even more cushion under our feet!) and stuck it under the chairs to coordinate the entire look.
My Mom picked me up these fabulous orange & yellow patio stools at TJ Maxx a few months back. They really add an additional pop of color, plus are very functional as a side table or a foot stool. READ MORE
Ok… so I’m back from vacation and feeling rejuvenated just in time for my birthday week! I’m not going to even try to hide it, I love celebrating my birthday. It’s like I revert back to my 10 year old self & anticipate the big day for it to only be done with in a blink of an eye.
This year is a bit different than usual as I have already received my gift (if I haven’t told you enough yet … I got the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 camera) and celebrated with some of my family while we were in Lake Tahoe. None the less, I plan to make each day great & enjoy the moments of turning another year older. Don’t hate me, but I’m really excited to be turning 30 next year! I think great things are going to happen in my 30’s. READ MORE
This could be one of the best weeks of weather that I’ve ever had while vacationing in Lake Tahoe. Each day has been over 80 degrees with the most beautiful blue sky. We’ve made the most of it with venturing over to see Fallen Leaf Lake (Bodyguard scenes were filmed there) & enjoyed some beach time.
Here are some more pictures of my trip on Day 2 and 3…
This week I’m on my annual vacation with my family in beautiful Lake Tahoe. It’s my seventh trip here and the gorgeous scenery and sunsets never get old.
My 29th birthday is later this month and I usually revert back to being a 10 year old with my birthday gift rules (i.e. don’t hint, don’t gift early, love a surprise, etc etc – more on that later!).This year however, I wasn’t shy in asking for one collective gift from family & friends …. the Canon EOS Rebel SL1.
With the help from Sean coordinating it all, I was gifted an early birthday present here in Lake Tahoe with my new favorite gadget!!! READ MORE
I think most women secretly wish for their own “Pretty Woman shopping on Rodeo Drive” moment. Wouldn’t it be great to walk into Versace, Chanel & Tiffany’s and get whatever you want ?!?! Well… I went shopping on Rodeo Drive yesterday, but unfortunately went home empty handed.
The real reason my boss and I went to Rodeo Drive was to do comparison shopping for our new fall/winter jewelry collection. I never turn down an opportunity to try on high-end jewelry!
