I have an addiction … to paper goods.
I love notebooks, notecards, to-do lists, calendars, etc., but above them all is my love for planners. I’m notorious for going through 3-5 different planners in a given year. I cannot seem to stick with just one because I fall out-of-love with them for one reason or another.
That is until I finally purchased The Simplified Planner created by Emily Ley. I debated and debated on pulling the trigger and I cannot believe I waited as long as I did! It’s a lifesaver to put it mildly. Emily has really brainstormed the use of planners, what we want in them, how are they supposed to help our daily lives and has ultimately come up with her vision of the perfect day planner.
View your Month-at-a-Glance (I love that holidays are already printed in the planner!).
… but then get to work on your daily agenda with each day having its OWN page! (this was what ultimately sold me on the planner as I need space & was sick of having a planner and a to-do list notebook).
A column broken down by the hour to plan out your day and a perfectly planned to-do list right next to it. There is also room for additional notes and a place to plan your dinner for the evening. (if I’d just stick to using that space properly…)
Laminated & color coded tabs make it a breeze to flips through the months.
… and each day comes with an inspirational quote too! (no excuse not to seize the day!)
A hard, durable cover (that’s equally stylish) and thick white pages make the planner worth every penny. The 2014 planner is sold-out, but sign up for her emails to stay in the loop for when she plans to release the 2015 edition!
Keep Living a Stylized Life.
Thanks for posting Kristin! I have been debating purchasing the Simplified Planner and you may be my deciding factor! Would you mind sharing the brand of the colored pens/markers you use? Do they bleed through the pages?
Thanks!!
Hey Valerie! Ohh you’ll love the planner, I’m onto my 3rd now! I use Le Pen. They’re a fine tip felt pen that doesn’t bleed through. Look for them on Amazon.
Thanks for the suggestion Kristen! I (like you used to) go through several planners and to-do notebooks each year. Then I decide I want to switch to only using my phone as a calendar and list keeper. Then I miss using fun pens and paper and go on a search for a new planner! This might be my next purchase if it seems like it could double as a good list keeper and planner! (And I’m interested in those pens as well!)
Emily you will love this for your exact reasons!! One of my favorite ways to use the planner is to make my daily list!!
