For the past 4 years my brother, Ryan, Dad and I travel to Beaver Creek, CO for our annual ski trip. This year we decided to invite along some of our friends so we could share this beautiful winter wonderland with all of them! Needless to say, it was a ton of fun on and off the slopes!
Lindsay and I (pictured above) grew up together back in Wisconsin and used to go skiing all the time where we’d ride the ski lifts singing Faith Hill’s “This Kiss.” It’s pretty cool some 15+ years later that we’re able to do it again from the top of Colorado mountains!
This girl is all about aprés ski noon and night!
On our 3rd day it actually started to snow which made the ski runs pretty choppy for the afternoon. A group of us meandered over to Beaver Creek Village to explore and ended up having fun with some impromptu snow shoots + it was the perfect opportunity to snap some photos of some of the new gear for the Modish Wanderer line.
Since everybody was not full-time skiers, we decided on another one of the afternoons to skip the slopes and try out some snowmobiling in the backcountry. This was an absolute blast! It cost about $250 for a 2-person sled with a guided tour for a few hours. A bit pricey, but well worth it (minus the old man who tipped his sled + his wife who was afraid of the throttle).

To accomodate 10 people we ended up renting an AirBNB at the Strawberry Park Condos which is a ski in / ski out lodge. If it’s in your budget, I highly recommend doing this. Just note — right now it’s listed a ton higher than the price we paid. It pays to book in advance! None the less, it’s perfect for when you want to hit the slopes, but it’s right across the street from the Beaver Creek Village as well. Our place was much larger than expected and everyone got their own bedroom + bathroom so it was very comfortable. Every night it turned into gathering around the dining table, telling stories and playing some sort of card game. Anyone remember spoons?

This was such a fun-filled 5 day trip and I was sad to see it end. Thankfully there are tons of memories that will keep us going for months to come. Beaver Creek … I’ll be seeing you again in just a few short weeks so I can maximize my season ski pass!
