I haven’t been shy about loving wine and I truly do love my job …. so when “work” called for us to make a pit-stop at Cambria Winery, I wasn’t about to NOT oblige!
Cambria Winery is located north of Santa Barbara in the Santa Maria Valley. Upon turning onto Chardonnay Lane, you are presented with rows & rows of beautiful grapevines that go on as far as the eye can see. This is one of my favorite wineries to stop at as the people in the tasting room are always so nice and the wine flights are truly fantastic.
During the summer I’m generally in favor of a crisp Chardonnay that’s not too sweet, nor too buttery. The rest of the year, I’m into red wines and currently favoring Pinot Noir’s. Cambria Winery offered excellent choices in both of these wines, and I ended up going home with a bottle of each. (that’s a shocker!)
They were getting ready for their big fall harvest and rolling out the gorgeous oak barrels. (I have a wine barrel currently in my house from a winery in this area … it serves as a cocktail table of sorts right now.)
Have you ever been wine tasting? (If you’re ever out in California near the Santa Barbara area, I’m always up for wine tasting!)
