It is pretty clear by now that I love going on the hunt for the unique finds at flea markets and when I got the opportunity to participate in Aaron Brothers latest, ‘What Would You Frame?’ campaign I knew I wanted to combine my love of vintage treasures with my love for wine.
During my last visit to the Rose Bowl I was on the hunt for vintage corkscrews and other wine related décor objects. I was able to get my hands on two very old wine corkscrews, one in particular is from France. In addition, I happened to find the one gentleman who had a small treasure box of vintage wine labels from the 1970’s. I was so thrilled with my finds and couldn’t wait to sit down during my complimentary session with a design expert at Aaron Brothers to create a one-of-a-kind frame of my newly accounted for treasures.
The design options are unlimited with over 700 moulding choices, 400 mats to choose from! This is where the help of their design experts come in as I would have been standing there for hours trying to decide on the best frames and matting. Once I told them the look I was going for, rustic & natural of course, they were able to narrow down my choices to just a few items that were perfect for the project.
I’m so unbelievably thrilled with how it turned out! The use of “museum” glass was such a smart decision as it barely appears to even be on there and it allows the items to be the main focal point. How they beveled the matting created such beautiful depths within the frame as well and really added more character to the display. I mean… isn’t this just amazing? This frame just compliments the vintage wine press and wine barrel that I already have in my dining room and it most certainly will be a future conversation piece.
I had such an enjoyable experience working with my local Aaron Brothers location that my wheels are spinning with more creative framing idea. I think next on the list will be collecting some of my late Grandpa’s personal items and creating a montage of sorts that depict moments throughout his life. I can’t wait to get started!
What Would You Frame if you had no limits? I suggest letting Aaron Brothers help you custom frame unique items that can be displayed in your home for years to come. The best part, all Aaron Brothers guests can schedule complimentary appointments with design-certified Aaron Brothers preservation experts to create high quality, custom pieces for their homes.
Join along in the fun and share some of your fun, out of the box custom frame ideas in the comments section of this post or via social media by tagging me and using the #WhatWouldYouFrame to be entered to win a $200 Aaron Brothers gift card! I’ll be picking a winner on July 31.
